Eight-day clockwork with alarm under a glass bell jar and on a black polished wooden base, covered with red velvet. 
White enamel dial with blue Roman numerals and black minute rim.
Brequet hands. 
 
Signed on the back, "Japy frères medaille d'or 1823-27."
