Eight-day timepiece with fusee, verge escapement and hourly striking mechanism on a bell.

Dial with an arch with a hand for 'chime' and 'silent'. Above the VI is a date window and a signing plate.

Number-ring is silver-plated with Roman numerals and blued-steel hands. Brozen corner decorations.

Cabinet in oak mahogany veneer with brocade legs and handle.

 

Signed on the signature plate, "Joseph Millis, London."

The back is fully engraved with 'the time' in the middle with a parchment with the text, "Time flies, remember to die."
