Rooster Comtoise, ca. 1775

Very rare timepiece with saucer-plate with Roman numerals and the five-minute indication in Arabic numerals.
Brass casting with rooster looking back flanked by two hens with the French lilies in the medallion and molded corner decorations.
Eight-day timepiece with a Chevalier de Bèthune escapement. Percussion on the hour and compulsory strike on the half hour.
Wire pendulum with globe.
